Five Nigerian pilgrims had died in the holy land of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, according to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
This was disclosed to journalists in Madinah, by the Head of Madinah Operations of NAHCON, Bello Tambuwal. According to him, he said that four of the deceased died in Madinah and one in Mecca.
He further said that NAHCON had set up two clinics in Madinah to help provide medical treatment to the pilgrims.
“The clinics were stocked with drugs. We brought some from Nigeria while we bought some here,” he said.
Mr. Tambuwal also said that the commission had not encountered any traffic accident involving a Nigerian pilgrims.
So far not less than 46,770 pilgrims had been transported to Saudi Arabia, before exercise would be completed on schedule.
